I’ve been obsessing over a clean 90s sports car currently sitting in a lot in Japan. The sticker price is actually quite reasonable, but I’m terrified that the clearing costs at the Durban port will be more than the car itself!
I’ve heard horror stories about high-luxury levies and ad valorem taxes that catch people off guard. I really need to sit down and run the numbers properly so I don’t end up with a car I can’t afford to release.
Does anyone have experience with a reliable import cost calculator?
