Hello everyone,

I'm having some issues with my players' performance in Career Mode. No matter how much I train them or tweak their tactics, certain players just aren't performing as expected on the pitch. It’s especially frustrating when I see other teams outperforming mine in similar situations. Click Here to Play and notice how players from other teams seem to perform better.

Has anyone experienced this? Do you have any tips on boosting player form, perhaps through specific training methods or tactical adjustments? Any advice on maximizing potential and improving consistency would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey! I’ve had similar issues in Career Mode before — sometimes it’s not just about training but also tactics, morale, and match fitness. A few things that helped me:

  1. Player Roles & Instructions – Make sure each player’s role fits their attributes. For example, don’t force a defensive midfielder to play as a box-to-box if their stamina or passing is low.

  2. Training Focus – Use position-specific or role-specific training rather than general training; it boosts relevant stats faster.

  3. Team Morale – Keep morale high with rotation, winning streaks, and player talks; low morale can seriously affect performance.

  4. Match Sharpness & Rotation – Give players rest if they’re tired; overplayed players often underperform.

  5. Tactical Adjustments – Adjust formation based on the opponent; sometimes the same players excel under one tactic but struggle under another.

Consistency often comes from combining the right training + tactics + rotation. It takes a few matches to see the improvements, but it usually helps.

I totally get your frustration, it’s annoying when player performance in Career Mode doesn’t match what you expect. Sometimes it’s because of hidden attributes, fatigue, or even morale that aren’t obvious from the main screen. Try checking for things like stamina drops, lack of training, or mismatched roles in your squad. Tweaking those often makes a surprising difference. Keep at it, you’ll get the squad firing again.

I’ve run into this too it can be really frustrating! I’ve found that focusing on role-specific training and keeping an eye on morale makes a big difference. Also, don’t underestimate small tactical tweaks; even switching a formation or giving a player slightly different instructions can suddenly unlock better performances. Rotation is key too, overworked players often underperform even if their stats look good. Hang in there, it usually takes a few matches to see real improvements!
