I like the convenience of online healthcare appointments, but I’m skeptical about dentistry without a physical exam. Have people here found virtual dental visits genuinely helpful, or do most cases still end up requiring in-person treatment?

The main drawback is that a doctor obviously can't clean your teeth or fill a cavity through a screen. However, I found it incredibly useful for initial triage. Instead of wasting time and money traveling to a clinic just for a quick visual look, utilizing teledentistry via https://villagedentalmedicine.com/teledentistry-online-consultations-and-remote-care/ allowed me to get an expert opinion on my swollen gums right away. It won't replace a drill, but it saves so much guesswork.

Did they actually give you a preliminary treatment plan for your gums, or did you still have to go in for a prescription?

They gave me a temporary routine to soothe the swelling at home, but I did need a quick in-person visit later to get the actual antibiotics.
