I’m planning my first dropshipping store and have narrowed the choice down to Amazon, eBay, or Shopify. I don’t have the time or budget to manage three sales channels properly while I’m still learning how everything works. I’d rather start with one, find products that sell, and expand later if the numbers make sense. Which platform would be the best place to begin, and where do beginners have a better chance of making an actual profit?

Don’t compare the platforms using revenue screenshots or somebody else’s average margin, because the same product can produce very different results on each one. Choose two or three products you genuinely plan to sell and calculate what remains after the supplier cost, shipping, platform fees, advertising, and likely returns. Use conservative figures rather than assuming every order will go smoothly. The safest place to start is the platform where your products still leave enough margin for mistakes while you’re learning.

Those calculations show what you might earn per order, but they don’t show how difficult it will be to attract that buyer or keep the account running. Amazon offers established demand with strict seller requirements, eBay is easier to test but heavily driven by price, and Shopify gives you more control while leaving you responsible for generating traffic. For a closer Amazon vs eBay vs Shopify dropshipping comparison, you can read this guide: https://easync.io/articles/selling-on-amazon-vs-ebay-vs-shopify/ . Use it to rule out any option that doesn’t fit your supplier arrangement, advertising budget, or current experience. Once you’re left with the platform you can realistically manage, test it with a small catalog before adding another sales channel.
