Hi everyone,

I’ve been thinking about upgrading the insulation in my attic and wanted to hear some real experiences from other homeowners before moving forward. I keep seeing different estimates online, so I’m trying to understand the actual blown in insulation cost for homeowners based on real projects instead of general price ranges.

A few local contractors mentioned that the final cost depends on the attic size, insulation material, and whether old insulation needs to be removed first. One company also suggested air sealing before installation, which sounds helpful but adds extra cost to the project.

For those who already installed blown-in insulation, did you notice a difference in your energy bills or indoor comfort afterward? My house gets extremely hot in summer and cold in winter, so I’m hoping better insulation could help stabilize the temperature a bit.

I’d really appreciate any honest advice, pricing experiences, or things you wish you knew before starting the project. Thanks in advance!
