Hello everyone,

I recently obtained my child’s birth certificate and was told that it can be verified online for authenticity. I’m not sure which government portal or website is official for this. Has anyone used an online verification system for birth registration?

How long does the verification process take, and are there any documents needed before starting? I’m concerned about fraud and want to make sure the certificate is recognized for school admission and other official purposes.

Any step-by-step guidance or personal experiences would be very helpful.

Hello,

You can verify your child’s birth certificate online using the official government portal. Typically, you will need the child’s full name, date of birth, place of birth, and registration number from the certificate. Most portals allow instant verification, and some even provide a downloadable verification slip that can be used for school admission and other official purposes.

Using the official system for Birth registration online verification ensures the certificate is authentic and recognized. Make sure to use only government websites to avoid fraud. If the verification shows any mismatch, contact your local registrar’s office.

Usually, no additional documents are needed, and the process is quick and secure.
