Browser Performance and Content Filtering Issues in Dynamics 365 Portals
Hi everyone,
I am currently working on optimizing the user experience for our team within the Dynamics 365 Portals environment. We’ve been facing some inconsistent latency issues, and I suspect it might be related to how our organization’s internal content filtering and firewall rules are interacting with the portal’s web assets.
Our IT department recently implemented a set of strict sandbox rules for all web-based applications to improve security and employee focus. However, during our performance testing, we noticed a strange inconsistency in how the network handles different types of web traffic. For example, while our mission-critical CRM dashboards sometimes experience slow loading times for JavaScript components, a member of our testing team found that they could still reach an Unblocked Games site through a simple search, despite the filters being active.
This leads me to believe that our current web filtering hierarchy might be misconfigured, perhaps failing to prioritize the internal Microsoft Dynamics 365 traffic while unintentionally allowing other external domains to bypass some of the inspection layers. This is causing significant frustration for our power users who require fast response times for data entry and reporting.
I have a couple of questions for the support community:
-
Has anyone else experienced issues where Dynamics 365 Portals are being throttled or delayed by aggressive SSL inspection or proxy settings?
-
Are there specific IP ranges or domain whitelisting best practices you recommend to ensure that Dynamics 365 assets always get top priority on a crowded corporate network?
We want to make sure our business environment is secure but also highly performant. Any advice on how to fine-tune our firewall to stop prioritizing the wrong traffic and focus on our CRM efficiency would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Maned Wolf -
